The Spectrum Discussion held on 2 September 2024 from 3:15 pm to 4:00 pm at Lecture Hall 6 was organized by the JIT IEEE Student Branch alongside the WIE Affinity Group (AG). The event spotlighted two emerging areas: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Sustainable Technology, with engaging presentations by key student speakers. Vishnu Baalan B, Secretary of JIT IEEE, discussed “Emerging Technology Trends in Artificial Intelligence”, offering insights into AI’s transformative role across industries. He highlighted advancements in machine learning, natural language processing, and AI-driven decision-making, illustrating how these technologies are reshaping fields like healthcare, finance, and automation.

 

Sadurthika G, Secretary of JIT WIE, presented “Emerging Technology Trends in Sustainable Technology”, emphasizing innovations aimed at addressing environmental and energy challenges. Her talk explored sustainable practices and technologies, including renewable energy systems and smart environmental monitoring, which contribute to resource conservation and eco-friendly industry practices. This Spectrum Discussion fostered a deeper understanding of AI and sustainability among attendees, sparking thoughtful discussion about the impact of these technologies on the future. Participants left with valuable insights and inspiration to explore these fields further, recognizing their potential to drive progress and sustainability in various sectors.
