The IEEE Information Theory Society – Student Branch at KLS Gogte
Institute of Technology organized an event called “POSTER VISION” as part of IEEE Week.
The event kicked off with a workshop on Canva on 7th October 2024, where participants were
introduced to Canva’s tools and features, learning valuable design skills. Following the
workshop, participants were tasked with creating their own posters on raising awareness about
online financial scams. This activity took place over the next two days, 8th and 9th October
2024. On 10th October 2024, the team visited Sulaga village near Hindalga, Belgaum. Using
the posters they designed, the students actively engaged with the local community, spreading
awareness about the dangers of online financial scams. The event served as a creative and
educational initiative, empowering students to make a positive social impact.
