One Day Workshop on OBE Based Curriculum Design

One Day Workshop on OBE Based Curriculum Design 150 150 ieeeeduweek

The IEEE SSCS Student Chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Electronics Engineering, successfully conducted a one-day workshop on “OBE-Based Curriculum Design” on January 17, 2024, at the VB Seminar Hall. The event, held from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, saw the enthusiastic participation of 36 attendees, including faculty members and students. The workshop aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles with a particular focus on designing effective curricula for circuit-centric subjects such as VLSI Design, Digital IC Design, and Analog Circuit Design. Dr. K. S. Giridharan, Associate Professor at the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training, Chennai, served as the distinguished speaker. His expertise in curriculum design and engineering education enriched the session, offering practical strategies to align teaching methodologies and assessment techniques with OBE standards. Participants gained valuable insights into structuring circuit-focused courses to enhance student learning outcomes, fostering a deeper understanding of core engineering concepts.
