The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society of Informatics Institute of Technology conducted an orientation session for the January 2024 intake students to acquaint them with the society and its manifold benefits. Beginning with an overview of RAS’s mission and objectives, the session elaborated on the advantages of membership, including access to research publications, networking opportunities, and participation in conferences and workshops. Emphasizing student involvement, attendees were encouraged to engage with RAS through student chapters, volunteer activities, and leadership roles. The session proved insightful, fostering enthusiasm among students to actively participate in RAS activities and leverage its resources for their academic and professional growth in the dynamic field of robotics and automation. Additionally, an interactive quiz with membership discounts was organized at the end to enhance engagement, providing a fun and rewarding conclusion to the session.
