Join us for two exciting days of hands-on coding, creativity, and fun! Students will learn the basics of programming, design their own games, and even build a console to play them.
💡 Who Can Join: 20–30 students (Grades 6–8)
💻 Bring Your Own Computer
🍕 Food Provided: Pizza & Water
Location: Kaimuki Middle School Library (631 18th Ave, Honolulu 96816 – Entrance on Kilauea Ave)
📅 Class Day 1 – November 4 (5:00 – 7:00 PM)
🎯 Topics:
- Introduction to Scratch (1 hour)
- Dinosaur Game Programming (1 hour)
- 🎁 End of class: Announcement of the Design Competition and Prizes
📅 Class Day 2 – November 7 (5:00 – 7:00 PM)
🎯 Topics:
- Design and build a console that connects to a computer to play the Dinosaur game
- 🏆 Competition Time: IEEE Volunteers will review all submissions, score them, and select the Top 3 Designs!
- Each winner will receive a $30 Amazon Gift Card! 🎉
