IEEE SB of GEC organized an Industrial trip to Hyderabad. This visit to the industries and research institutions allowed students to learn more about the practical aspects of their course, operations and functioning of companies and offer an exposure to the latest technological developments. The trip was led by Miss Sadhavi Chodankar (IEEE SB Chairperson) and attended by a total 25 students of our college from first to final year students, accompanied by 2 faculty members Mr. Chetan Desai and Mr. Niraj Gavde. The trip lasted for 5 days from 7th to 11th January.
Our visit included:
IIT Hyderabad – The premier engineering institute of Telangana & the 8th highest ranking institute according to NIRF. There we were introduced to various labs including Systems and Control labs,Power Electronics and Power System Labs and many more.
T-Hub – World’s largest incubation centre and the state’s premier innovation hub. Our day began with an enlightening talk on entrepreneurship by Mr.Srinivas Taluka (Vice President -Facilities at T-Hub), we gained valuable insights into startup culture, innovation, and the resources available to budding entrepreneurs from him.
T-Works – India’s largest Prototyping Centre and product development platform. They gave us a great office tour that included 3D Printing Lab, Laser shop, ARP Lab, Wood Craft , Electronics Lab, PCB Fabrication Lab, Metal shop, Ceramic Studio where they explained us everything in detail. It was great learning.
NSRC ISRO – One of the primary centres of ISRO Department Of Space (DOS) that has the mandate for establishment of ground stations, reception and application of satellite data and development of remote sensing techniques. The session on Space Exploration and Innovation by NRSC ISRO covered a range of key topics through a presentation format, shedding light on India’s remarkable advancements in space technology. An overview of various satellites used for remote sensing, communication, and weather forecasting was provided, showcasing their critical roles in gathering data and improving global services. The presentation also delved into Chandrayaan 3, India’s lunar exploration mission, highlighting its objectives and scientific significance.
We-Hub – We had the privilege of visiting WE HUB, India’s first state-led incubator for women entrepreneurs. The presentation highlighted WE HUB’s mission to empower women across various fields. A dynamic game encouraged creativity and problem-solving, making the session both engaging and impactful. Participants left inspired and motivated by the importance of women empowerment in shaping a brighter future.
Site Seeing– The fourth day of our trip was dedicated to exploring Hyderabad’s rich cultural, spiritual, and natural heritage. We began with a visit to the iconic Charminar, a symbol of the city’s architectural brilliance and history. Next, we visited the serene ISKCON Temple, where the peaceful ambiance and beautiful deities provided a spiritually uplifting experience. Later, we spent time at the Nehru Zoological Park, enjoying the tranquil environment and observing a variety of wildlife. The day offered a perfect blend of cultural exploration, spiritual rejuvenation, and relaxation, making it a memorable part of our journey.
