IEEE Educational Events

Dhaka, Bangladesh – October 26, 2024 – The IEEE Student Branch at Eastern University marked IEEE Day 2024 with a grand celebration, bringing together students, faculty, and industry professionals to honor the spirit of innovation and collaboration in engineering and technology.

The Program has been honored by our Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Shahid Akhtar Hossain, Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University. Also, Prof. Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of E&T, and the Branch Counselor of IEEE EUSB served as the Guest of Honor. The event Session Chair was Associate Prof. Maidul Islam, Faculty, Department of EEE and Co-ordinator of IEEE EUSB.

The event featured a series of insightful sessions and speeches led by distinguished guests, including:

1) Md. Rahidul Islam Ratul, Electrical Manager, China National Electric Engineering Co. Ltd, Bangladesh

2) Rashik Anjum Shohan, Asst. Engineer, Circuit and System Design, ULKASEMI Pvt Limited, Dhaka, Bangladesh

3) MMR Manu, Research Assistant, East China University of Science and Technology, China.

4) Rajib Shaha, Research Engineer, Carbon Capture Project Northern Lights, Norway

5) Minhaz Sakib, Graduate Student, Grenoble Alpes University, France

Participants had the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions, network with professionals, and explore the latest technological advancements. Farhan Ahmed, Vice Chair of IEEE EUSB, Hosted the event throughout the day. The event also included a showcase of innovative projects by students, highlighting their creativity and technical prowess.
