We held an exciting IEEE Info Session tailored specifically for Erasmus students visiting for the day. This session provided an overview of the IEEE student branch, its role, and the numerous opportunities it offers to students in the fields of engineering, technology, and innovation.
The event began with a campus tour, showcasing key spaces where IEEE activities take place, such as labs, meeting rooms, and study areas. This gave the visiting Erasmus students a chance to get a feel for the vibrant academic and tech-focused environment they could be a part of.
We presented an engaging introduction to IEEE, highlighting its global network, technical resources, and student initiatives. We presented the various ways in which Erasmus students can get involved with IEEE during their exchange, including participating in local events, workshops, and technical projects, as well as accessing a wealth of resources and professional development opportunities.
The session featured an interactive Q&A, where current IEEE members shared their experiences, discussing how their involvement in IEEE has enhanced their academic and professional journeys. Students also had the chance to learn about upcoming events, including hackathons, seminars, and networking opportunities with industry professionals.
By the end of the session, students were excited about the possibility of joining IEEE and leveraging the community’s resources to further their academic and professional aspirations in the fields of engineering and technology.
