Student Indution Program 150 150 ieeeeduweek

On September 26th, IEEE GIT organized a dynamic Student Orientation Program from 2 to 5 PM across multiple venues at KLS GIT, including the auditorium, AF-31, and AG-2. The event kicked off with an introduction from the branch counsellor, after which the 200 new students were divided into two batches. Each batch was split into three groups and sent to different locations for activities. In the auditorium, one group was further divided—one half took on the String and Path Challenge, while the other participated in a fun game of “Translate and Guess the Lyrics,” where they even got to perform the songs they guessed! By the end of the session, both groups reconvened for a common quiz, adding to the friendly competition. Meanwhile, the WIE and Computer Society took their group to AF-31, where participants were organized into groups using QR codes. Each group had 8 members: 5 of them played an exciting balloon game, while the remaining 3 took on a dare challenge. Winners were rewarded with chocolates for their efforts. The ITS and AESS collaboration had its own twist, where participants engaged in a fun guessing game involving items placed on a table. Two team members faced off across the table as a song played, with one trying to guess and grab the correct item, then performing with it. The team with the most items and the best performances came out victorious. With a total of 200 participants and 50 dedicated volunteers, the entire orientation was filled with laughter, excitement, and friendly competition, ensuring that the new students received a warm and engaging welcome to the IEEE GIT community.
