National Engineers Children’s Day

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

National Engineers Week will be celebrated from February 18-24, 2024. This year’s theme – Welcome to the Future! – is about celebrating today’s achievements and paving the way for a brighter and more diverse future in engineering.

Engineers Day at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 10:00 – 3:00.  Volunteers are needed to interact with guests and get children excited about Engineering as a career choice. Volunteers will be stationed throughout the Museum to help guests perform simple activities that apply basic engineering principles as well as talk about engineering and answer any questions children may have.

*Please note that all volunteers will need to fill out a form authorizing The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis to perform a limited background check. If your employer conducts a background as a requirment for employment, then a letter from your HR indicating that can be used.  This is the Children’s Museum’s preferred method for this year.  

*** Please contact Bob Evanich if your company would like to have a table with an activity or if you have ideas for a simple engineering activity.
