On June 13, 2024, the Department of CSE (Data Science) at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Bidar, hosted an enlightening expert talk by Dr. Santosh Kumar, Assistant Professor at NIT Silchar, Assam. The session was  tailored for 4th- semester students, focusing on research opportunities  and pathways  for undergraduate students.
Dr. Santosh Kumar highlighted the significance of engaging in research early in an academic career, underscoring how it can deepen understanding, enhance problem-solving skills, and foster professional growth. He provided practical guidance on starting research projects, from identifying research problems  to acquiring necessary technical and soft skills. The session also covered opportunities like internships, collaborative projects, and the importance of publishing research.
