A multi-cloud may also be a hybrid cloud or a hybrid cloud may also be a multi-cloud, but each term represents distinct concept. Multi Cloud environment is a mix of public, private, or hybrid clouds. A multi-cloud solution is a combination of software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and infrastructure as a service (laaS) model.
The adoption of multi cloud services provide clear advantages such as flexibility, scalability, enhanced agility, improved availability, and fast deployment. However, the increase in the Multi cloud’s popularity poses immense challenges, especially in terms of cyber security. Multi cloud security is not merely a term but a practice in cloud adoption journey. It has to be a prime consideration from the beginning.
