This webinar lecture addresses how to design antennas for practical systems. Antennas play a key role in any communications system. They need to meet several systems requirements simultaneously. The design of these systems becomes difficult, time-consuming, and often results in non-optimal solutions if you do not start with fundamental design principles and do not understand the hardware. This talk will brief how to properly design these complex antennas from fundamental principles and proper choice of antenna for given requirements quickly. Various types of antennas are discussed initially, and hardware examples are provided. A few videos are shown explaining the complexity and importance of antenna systems for space, air, and ground applications.
