IEEE Future Scientists of Sarawak 2.0 is a state-level event to promote science, technology, engineering, and volunteerism to the community in the northern region of East Malaysia. This year, IEEE Future Scientists of Sarawak in collaboration with All Aboard Young Leaders Centre will be organized at the Pustaka Miri on 12th to September 2026. The theme is “Innovating the Future through Science and Technology”. IEEE Future Scientists of Sarawak aims to create an innovative and interactive science and technology platform in northern regions of Sarawak for students from primary and secondary schools. The objective of the exhibition is to spark students’ curiosity and interest towards the exploration of science and technology via interactive science demonstrations and engineering technology showcases. It aims to raise the awareness of the youths and public communities about the future trends and the importance of programming in creating future thinkers and makers. In addition, IEEE Future Scientists of Sarawak also provides a platform to stimulate volunteerism among students to reach out to the communities by solving real-life problems with technologies.
In the exhibition, the venue will be classified into three zones: (1) STEM Challenge Zone, (2) STEM Interactive Zone, and (3) STEM Educational Zone. The descriptions are:
• STEM Challenge Zone covers programs such as Junior Innovate (JI) and Tech Master Challenge (TMC).
• STEM Interactive Zone includes programs such as Tech Maker project showcase, and University/Industrial project showcase.
• STEM Educational Zone is a corner provided to the public to interact with the event involving a vision board, educational kits and 3D pens.
