Participation at Retos IELE-IELC Course 150 150 ieeeeduweek

As part of the Retos IELE-IELC course at Universidad de los Andes, I had the opportunity to introduce first-semester students to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and its role within the university. My participation involved presenting IEEE’s mission, benefits, and opportunities available to students, such as professional networking, technical workshops, and academic resources.

During the session, I explained how joining IEEE can enhance their academic and professional journey by providing access to cutting-edge research, mentorship programs, and collaboration with peers in different engineering fields. Additionally, I shared insights on IEEE student branches at Uniandes, highlighting past projects and events that have contributed to the university’s engineering community.

Through this experience, I aimed to encourage new students to actively engage in extracurricular activities, develop their technical and leadership skills, and become part of a global network of professionals and researchers.
