USC IEEE GRSS-APS Chapter Seminar Series on Applied Electromagnetics – Paul Siqueira – Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021 at 5:30pm (Online)
October 12, 2021 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
The University of Southern California Joint Student Chapter of the IEEE (GRSS and APS) invites you to the following talk in our 2021-2022 seminar series:
Solving Maxwell’s Equations in the Woods, presented by Prof. Paul Siqueira from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, on Tuesday, Oct 12, 2021, 5:30-6:30 pm PDT.
Abstract: Remote sensing is an interdisciplinary field of study that requires knowledge in a a variety of engineering and earth science applications. As engineers we learn to solve problems at the crossroads of physics, mathematics and technology. In this talk, Prof. Siqueira will discuss how a background in microwave engineering and probability theory can be used with remote sensing to address some of the more pressing problems of the day.
