“Tomorrow’s Innovators” is a grassroots IEEE WIE led outreach initiative bringing mentorship, practical STEM exposure, and career inspiration to approximately 300 young girls across three secondary schools in Benin City. Participating students will gain hands on experience through interactive competitions, engage with female innovators and industry professionals, and receive IEEE branded merchandise, certificates, and achievement awards that motivate continued pursuit of STEM careers. The program ensures all STEM courses and disciplines are evenly represented, exposing students to diverse pathways in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, and technology so they can discover their unique interests and strengths. Through this initiative, IEEE WIE establishes strong brand presence in Benin City’s educational community, positioning the organization as a trusted champion of girls’ STEM education among students, families, educators, and community leaders. This campaign creates a replicable outreach model while building IEEE WIE’s reputation as an action oriented advocate for closing the gender gap in STEM fields across Nigeria.
