A continuation of the April program covering home networks – how to setup a home firewall and switches and segregate IoT devices on their own virtual network. This is becoming more important with the rise of illicit “residential proxy networks” that use your internet connection and TV sets or doorbell cameras that may be privacy concerns. 

This will include carrier-provided firewall settings and recommendations if you outgrow the provided firewall/router/access point. 

There will be a quick background primer on IP networking to explain what a router and firewall do.

If there’s time at the end, the voice cloning demo from April will be played, and we may talk about alarm systems and door locks (smart and dumb).
