RF & Microwave Characterization and Design Activities: From Device Modeling to Stacked-Cell Power Amplifiers

October 9, 2025 @ 11:00 am12:00 pm

This talk presents a comprehensive overview of research activities in RF and microwave engineering, spanning both academic and industrial domains. It begins with device-level investigations, including DC and RF characterization for model extraction, and progresses to circuit-level innovations such as stacked-cell power amplifier design. The presentation highlights a formative internship at the Huawei Research Center, where advanced technology evaluation and design methodologies were explored. It also summarizes key outcomes from master’s and doctoral research focused on efficient, wideband amplifier architectures. Emphasis is placed on measurement techniques, design strategies, and practical implementations that connect fundamental device physics to high-performance circuit design. Attendees will gain insights into the challenges and solutions in high-frequency electronics through the lens of hands-on experience and applied research.
