This will be followed by an analysis of distributed generation and microgrids, where Prof. Emeritus Nikolaos Hatziargyriou will highlight their role in enhancing grid resilience and sustainability. SmartRUE & IEEE Greece Section SIGHT will then present case studies on the local manufacturing of small wind turbines for rural electrification, focusing on real-world applications in Ethiopia and Nepal. Finally, the Aiolos NTUA student team will showcase their work on small wind turbine development and its potential impact on decentralized energy solutions.
