The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) and Women Development Cell (WDC) of Bannari Amman Institute of Technology successfully organized an outreach programme at Government High School, Chikkarasampalayam, on 25.03.2026 from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with the objective of empowering school students through interactive learning and awareness. The programme featured engaging sessions such as Vibe Coding and Digital Safety Awareness, which introduced students to basic coding concepts in a simple and fun manner while also educating them on responsible digital usage. A team of 10 student volunteers from departments including CSBS, EEE, EIE, CSE, and IT actively contributed to the event by conducting sessions and interacting with students. As part of the initiative, stationery items were distributed to encourage students in their academic journey. The event was mentored by Ms. Nithya G (AP III EEE) and Ms. Gopika N P (AP II EEE), under the guidance of Dr. K T Maheshwari (Head/EEE) and Dr. A Bharathi (Head/AIML), and was well-received by the school community, promoting digital literacy, technical curiosity, and social responsibility among young learners.
