October 29, 2024 @ 8:00 am7:00 pm

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, UAP, along with IEEE UAP Student Branch ,IEEE UAP Student Branch WIE Affinity Group Organizes an Industrial Visit to Energypac Engineering Ltd, Nabinagar, Savar, Dhaka.

On October 29, 2024, the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), in collaboration with the IEEE UAP Student Branch, IEEE UAP Student Branch WIE Affinity Group organized an enriching industrial visit to Energypac for third-year and fourth-year EEE students. This visit offered students an invaluable hands-on experience, enabling them to observe and understand real-world applications of electrical engineering in one of Bangladesh’s foremost industrial environments.

A total of 50 students, accompanied by faculty members Dr. M. Mahbubur Rahman, Mr. Md. Khairul Alam and Ms. Munmun Akter participated in this experience, gaining insights into the production and testing of power electrical Instruments used in power Sector.

The students were thoughtfully divided into two groups to ensure focused learning experiences across different sections of Energypac . Each group explored key areas within the facility, including Distribution Transformers, Power Transformers, Testing, Cast Resin Transformers, Instrument Transformers, Switch & Isolator, and Switchgear.

Professionals from Energypac led the tour, providing in-depth explanations and live demonstrations on the design, testing, and maintenance processes for these essential power systems. This guidance allowed students to gain practical insights into the functioning and importance of these systems in the power sector.

This industrial visit served as an excellent opportunity for students to deepen their theoretical knowledge through practical exposure. By observing the advanced engineering practices and equipment at Energypac, students could connect classroom learning to real-world applications, thus enhancing their understanding of power systems and the broader electrical engineering industry. Experiences like these play a pivotal role in preparing students for professional careers by bridging the gap between academic concepts and industry requirements.
