‘In the Moonlight’πβ¨ Ramadan Astronomical Evening: EQUINOXES And Star Classification

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the Cité des Sciences de Tunis (CST) hosted the “Soirée Astronomique Ramadanesque” from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, celebrating the Spring Equinox under the theme “Au Clair de la Lune.” The event featured a rich program of activities designed to engage the public with the wonders of astronomy.

- “La Lune”: A deep dive into the mysteries of the Moon and upcoming lunar missions.
- “Les Équinoxes”: Insights into the movement of celestial bodies and their impact on seasons and astronomical phenomena.

Telescope Observations: Attendees had the chance to observe the Moon and Jupiter through telescopes.

Cosmic Journey: A captivating stellar tourism show allowed participants to explore star classification and the vastness of the universe.

IEEE AESS ENSIT organized a group visit to the event, with members from the IEEE AESS ENSIT Student Branch (SBC) attending and participating in the evening’s activities. The members of the IEEE AESS ENSIT SBC were able to watch the telescope observations of the Moon and Jupiter, attend the educational conferences, and engage with experts and enthusiasts in the field of astronomy. This visit was a valuable experience for the students to broaden their knowledge of space exploration and astronomy, in line with IEEE’s mission to promote science and technology.
