IEEE Education Week 2022 Move up the Career Ladder – a Panel Discussion about Higher Education Abroad

Are you unsure where to begin your overseas higher education expedition?

 

IEEE ULAB Student Branch is going to celebrate IEEE Education Week 2022. The celebration will be online entitled “Move up the Career Ladder – a Panel Discussion about Higher Education Abroad” on 8 April 2022 at 10:00 BST (UTC +6). The panel discussion will be moderated by Dr. Nafees Mansoor, a Senior Member of IEEE and the adviser of the IEEE ULAB Student Branch.

 

The panel discussion will be conducted by a flock of graduate students of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh who were IEEE ULAB Student Members at their time. The panel discussion speakers will be there to answer IEEE Student Members’ questions and give their perspectives on higher education. The IEEE Education Week 2022 celebration entitled “Move up the Career Ladder – a Panel Discussion about Higher Education Abroad” is open to all IEEE Members of any IEEE Student Branches.

 

Moderator Profile: 

Dr. Nafees Mansoor is a researcher and recipient of the Best Research Proposal Award at JACTIM Research Proposal Contest, 2012 (Malaysia), the best paper awards at ICAICT 2016 (Bangladesh), RISP-NCCP 2015 (Malaysia), AUN/SEED-Net ICEEE 2014 (Malaysia), and MJJIS 2013 (Japan). He started serving as an Assistant Professor in the CSE Dept. at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) in 2016. Besides that, he is an associate editor of IEEE Access®, an award-winning, multidisciplinary journal. His research interests cover Cognitive Radio Networks, Wireless Communications, and Network Protocols & Standards mostly. He finished his Ph.D. from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He received his BSc degree in Computer Science (Cum Laude honored) and an MSc degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).

  • Speaker 1: Abrar Hasin Kamal

He is pursuing his Master’s in data science at Universität Potsdam, Germany. He completed his graduation in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh in 2018. He is one of the Former Chairpersons (2017-18) of the IEEE ULAB Student Branch.

 

  • Speaker 2: Raisa Tahseen Hasanat

She is pursuing her MSc. in Electrical Power and Energy System at Teesside University, UK. She completed her graduation in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh in 2020. She is one of the Former Chairpersons (2019-20) of the IEEE ULAB Student Branch Women in Engineering Affinity Group.

 

  • Speaker 3: Reshma Islam

She is pursuing her MSc. in MSc. in Applied Electronics at Lodz University of Technology, Poland. She completed her graduation in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh in 2016. She is one of the IEEE Graduate Student Members of the IEEE ULAB Student Branch.

 

  • Speaker 4: Ramisha Rabeya

She started serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at University Tenaga Nasional – UNITEN in 2020. She completed her MSc. in Mechanics and Materials at University Tenaga Nasional – UNITEN, Malaysia in 2020. Besides that, she completed her graduation in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh in 2018. She is the Education Affairs Secretary of ULAB EEE and ETE Alumni Association.

 

  • Speaker 5: Amrita Ganguly 

She is a Ph.D. Student and Graduate Teaching Assistant in Information Technology Department at George Mason University, USA. She completed her graduation in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh in 2020. She is one of the Former IEEE Student members of the IEEE ULAB Student Branch
