IEEE CS DAY @ KPRIET and TRENDS IN SOFTWARE TESTING

Introduction
The IEEE Student Branch of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, in collaboration with the IEEE Computer Society (Madras Section), organized a special event titled “IEEE CS Day @ KPRIET” and Trends in Software Testing. This workshop, held on September 5, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Veena Hall, KPRIET, aimed to explore the latest developments and trends in software testing. The event featured esteemed speakers and a notable chief guest.
Chief Guest: Dr. Hironnori Washizaki
The program was graced by Dr. Hironnori Washizaki, a distinguished academic and IEEE leader. Dr. Washizaki is the 2015 IEEE CS President and the 2024 Vice President of the IEEE Computer Society. He is currently a professor at Waseda University, Japan, where he is renowned for his expertise in software engineering, particularly in the areas of software patterns and testing methodologies. His presence as the chief guest added immense value to the event, and his keynote address on global trends in software testing and quality assurance provided attendees with a
broad, international perspective on the advancements and challenges in the field.

• Mr. Srinivasan Desikan: Managing Director of QualPlayers, Bangalore. Mr. Desikan shared his practical experiences and the evolving landscape
of software testing, highlighting modern challenges and solutions.
