Abstract:
The future of energy lies not just in technology, but in the bold ideas of today’s youth. In this session, Dr. VSK Murthy Balijepalli a global expert in power systems, smart grid innovation, and IEEE leadership explores how student-led innovation can transform the power and energy ecosystem.
With deep insights from his work in government missions (National Smart Grid Mission, Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme), international collaborations (ETH Zurich, Rolls-Royce Singapore), and his leadership role in IEEE PES Region 10, Dr. Balijepalli will unpack how emerging technologies such as AI-driven load forecasting, blockchain-based energy markets, and advanced grid management systems are opening up new entrepreneurial opportunities.
