Digital Inclusion & STEM Empowerment for Madrassa Girls
August 25 @ 11:00 am – 3:30 pm
This activity aims to introduce female madrassa students from underprivileged communities to STEM education through interactive workshops and digital literacy sessions. The program will be conducted during the three-month summer vacation period when students attend madrassa classes regularly. Participants will engage in hands-on STEM workshop activities using STEM kits to develop curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The purpose of this initiative is to encourage young girls to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as future educational and career pathways. The event aligns with the mission of WIE by supporting and inspiring girls to participate in STEM fields and promoting gender inclusion in technology education. A structured schedule will be followed, including introductory sessions, practical activities, teamwork exercises, and mentorship discussions. The budget will be utilized for STEM kits, workshop materials, digital learning resources, and student engagement activities. The project is designed to create a lasting impact by increasing awareness of STEM opportunities among madrassa students who typically have limited exposure to technology education. Through this initiative, participants will gain confidence, digital literacy skills, and motivation to pursue further learning in STEM-related areas. The activity will also help build community awareness about the importance of girls’ participation in technological innovation and education.
