Using our Grant provided by the Region 6 Educational Activities Group the IEEE of Northern Nevada Section is hosting our very own 3D printing wrkshop. 

We are seeking volunteers to support an introductory 3D printing workshop for teens at the Carson City Library Digitorium. This program teaches young participants how 3D printers work, how to safely operate them, and how to troubleshoot common printing problems. Volunteers will help guide students through hands-on activities, encourage creative thinking, and provide basic supervision around the equipment.

Volunteers will assist with:

• Demonstrating how to prepare and start a 3D print

• Showing students how to load filament, level the bed, and monitor prints

• Helping participants understand common print failures and how to fix them

• Answering questions and supporting small groups during activities

• Ensuring safe and responsible use of printers and materials
