Analysis and control of oscillatory stability in renewable power systems: China’s Experience by Xiaorong Xie

The webinar intends to share the experience on the control & stability analysis of power system with high penetration of renewable energies in China starting with the introduction of up-to-date wide-band oscillation events. Next, the impedance-network-based modeling and analysis methods, will be used to analyze the underlying mechanisms & root causes of these oscillation events caused by converter/grid interactions. Then, methods for mitigating these oscillations will be introduced & summarized.
