Dr.  Saha  is  an  IEEE  senior  member,ACM  Senior  Member,  and  former  Chair  IEEE  Computer Society  Bangalore  Chapter.  His  current  and  future  research  interests  lie  in  Data  Science, theory  of  Machine  Learning  and  Astronomy.
Regression  and  optimization  techniques  are  essential  tools  in  data  science  and  machine learning.  Regression  techniques  model  the  relationship  between  variables,  while optimization  techniques  find  the  optimal  solution  to  a  problem.  This  two-day  talk  will  help  us understand  to  enable  accurate  and  robust  modelling  of  complex  data  sets.
He  spoke  for  about  60  minutes  on  two  consecutive  days  giving  the  students  more  insight  on machine  learning  problems.
