An interactive talk session was held on the 16th of August, 2024, on the occasion of 75 Years of Transistors. The session was conducted by Dr. Sajesh Kumar, Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Kannur. The session was attended by 40 students. 

The session highlighted the complete timeline of Electronics Engineering since the invention of the transistor in 1947. This session was a real eye- opener as to the contribution and significance of transistors in the further development and evolution of the digital world that we see. The speaker started off with a brief introduction on the backdrop of the technological advancement in the pre-Transistor era, and then went through the need and advantages of transistors. Then he talked about further advancements in transistors.
